Thanks to the generosity of Mill Street members Phil Sanger and Cath Lyon, we’re thrilled to announce that the single mother of six supported by our Good Cause, Young People First, will soon have a brand new tumble dryer.
Their combined donation has covered the cost of this essential appliance, making a real difference for this family as they face the challenges of the school year.
We are incredibly grateful for Phil and Cath’s kindness and support—this truly shows the power of our community coming together to lend a helping hand.

In honour of World Homelessness Day, our valued partner, Helping Hands, hosted a heart-warming coffee morning, welcoming the Make Good Grow team to hear directly from individuals who have benefited from their impactful programmes.
It was deeply moving to listen to these personal stories of resilience and to see how Helping Hands offers a true hand up, rather than just a hand out.
The morning was a wonderful reminder of the positive change our Passioneers make possible, as their support continues to uplift and enhance Helping Hands' vital activities.
FLOORING US WITH GOOD DEEDS!
A big thank you to Barry Large from Amtico Flooring for leading an incredible workshop on presentation skills.
Barry taught participants how to present with confidence, engage their audience, and handle tough questions. He also shared practical tips on designing PowerPoint slides that enhance, rather than distract from, the message.
