STOP ZILLOW!

I just wanted to take a moment and comment on Greg Hague's "STOP ZILLOW" article. I'm worried not only for myself as an Agent but for the Consumers.

Come On Zillow-when will you stop. Not only have I had it with your business practices as a Realtor but I feel horrible for the consumers. Zillow is now taking advantage of regular consumers who do not know what their homes are worth and need the help of a Realtor more than ever. Zillow has gotten so big, people think the values listed by Zillow online are accurate when in fact they are anywhere from 7-40% off. Who will get burned?  The public!!!! Especially with this Instant Offer business.  It's like Zillow has figured out a way to steal value from sellers who are relying or at least expecting that Zillow will treat them with honesty, integrity and fairness.  No, that isn't Zillow at all. Zillow’s about making a buck any way they can while Realtors are in place to protect the Consumers. Worst part, we as realtors just have to sit back and let it happen, WELL...No more. It's time we stand up and take back our business before it's all owned and ruined by Zillow. They aren't going to stop until they have everything and what's worse; we give them the info to do it. Realtors are the ones out there getting listings, and selling homes, counseling our buyers and sellers and Zillow takes our listing and has it online before we turn off our computers. STOP ZILLOW! I'm in. You make a ton of sense Greg and thank you for getting this campaign together.
