So, we are back from the end-of-year festivities and now it is time to crush some goals except, as a business owner, you do not even have a goal.
In an earlier publication, we shared tips on how to set SMART BUSINESS GOALS and the feedback that we received from the publication was impressive. However, in order for a business to set realistic goals for the year 2023, it needs to know its PROFIT GOAL for the year and the MINIMUM SALES REQUIRED in order to achieve the profit goal. Without these, marketing efforts may become more expensive than they should be and even more so, prove ineffective.
Knowing and setting your profit goal and minimum sales required helps businesses to identify the right marketing channels to use in reaching their audience. For many businesses, social media, for instance, is an add-on and not a necessity while for others, it may mean everything.
One of the greatest benefits of setting these targets is that it helps business owners to know how they performed at the end of the year. Many business owners fail to give themselves credit for how much they achieved throughout a business year and it is primarily because they either didn't have a goal or they had one that just didn't make sense.
