Stop Worshiping Platforms—You Need a Business First, Genius...

?? WARNING: This Is a Full-Blown Rant. Read at Your Own Risk.

I just got off a 90-minute call with someone who was desperate to work with me. She knew she needed help. She knew she was stuck. She knew that if she didn’t make some serious moves, she’d be in the exact same place a year from now.

But guess what? She couldn’t afford my services. Not because she didn’t have money. Oh no. She was too busy paying for her “all-in-one” platform.

You know, the magical software that some scoundrel convinced her was the “key to success.”

?? Let me paint you a picture of what this “business” looked like:

? A whopping 59 people on her mailing list.

? Two ugly-as-hell landing pages that looked like they were designed in 2008.

? No revenue. No clients. No strategy.

But hey, at least she had everything in one place, right?

Platforms Don’t Build Businesses—People Do.

I am so damn tired of watching smart people fall for this nonsense. These so-called “marketing gurus” push Kajabi, ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel, or whatever shiny object they’re getting a commission for that week—convincing people that their first priority should be a $300/month software subscription.

?? Let me be clear: If you don’t have a profitable business, an all-in-one platform just means you have all your failure in one convenient place.

I don’t care how many “automation features” it has. A dead email list is a dead email list. A terrible offer won’t convert no matter how slick the checkout page is.

And yet, people like this woman are literally sabotaging their own success because some commission-hungry scoundrel convinced them that their biggest problem wasn’t sales, wasn’t strategy, wasn’t branding—no, no, no—it was NOT having all their tools under one roof.

Give me a break.

The Harsh Reality No One Tells You

?? You don’t need an all-in-one platform. You need a business. ?? You don’t need 50 automations. You need paying clients. ?? You don’t need a fancy dashboard. You need sales.

Here’s what actually matters:

? A clear offer people want to buy.

? A system to attract and convert leads.

? A way to deliver massive value so clients keep coming back.

Notice what’s not on that list?

? A $300/month platform eating up all your cash.

? A bloated system full of features you’ll never use.

? Another damn tool you don’t even know how to optimize.

You Need to Build a Business Before You Pick a Platform.

?? Platforms are tools. They are NOT a strategy.

If you have no audience, no clear offer, no sales process, I don’t care what software you’re using—you’re just playing business dress-up.

So next time someone tries to sell you on their “one-size-fits-all” platform, ask yourself this:

?? Do I need a new tool, or do I need to actually build a profitable business?

Because the platform isn’t what’s holding you back.

The real problem is that no one is telling you how to make money FIRST.

And if you’re more committed to your "ALL-IN-ONE Platform" subscription than your own success—then you don’t need a platform. You need a wake-up call.

LOL -- I actually had a chat with ChatGPT about this topic not long ago. I've had a problem in the past of forking out my hard-earned dosh for the next bright, shiny object that will make me millions overnight, only to see that credit card balance go through the roof with nothing to show for it. So now if I get tempted, I paste that can't-miss offer into my AI bud and it reminds me to ask myself: "Does this directly get me in front of aviation CXOs? Or is it just another shiny object?"
