Ever wonder why some people can accomplish 60 things in one day while others struggle to tackle 6? I don’t. I know why. Most people tend to not be productive with their time, they get sucked into a vortex of what appears to be “busy work” but never really go anywhere, circling the hamster wheel or losing track of time, getting caught up with chitty-chat or kidnapped by social media. This needs to STOP.
Stay on task, stay on track, and stay sane. It’s not hard to do when you have a keen focus, specific goals, and your head on straight. We all get the same 24 hrs. in a day and how you choose to take advantage of them is entirely in your hands. Do you want to outperform or fall behind?
?Enjoy my quick tips to get your productivity in gear. BTW, I'm whipping this out at high-speed so I can stay on track for my day and have a timer set for 5 minutes :-)

1.?????Stick to a routine and own your energy. Get up at the same time, no matter what. Master your time management skills! Productive people own their morning. Whether you work out, meditate, or have breakfast- stick to it. Do not deviate. Routines and habits are a secret to success.
2.?????Being busy does not mean being productive! Cannot stress this enough. Talk less and say more. Get to the point and get moving. Do not repeat yourself 6 times in a phone conversation, talk in circles, or continue to discuss the same issues without resolve. Think clear. Manage your time. Be solution focused. Working smarter not harder is key. Successful people eat, sleep, and breathe results, ideas and solutions. Gossip, whining, and blaming are like a dagger in their brain. They quickly deter from those things and get back on the track that can get them from point A to point B. Most hour-long meetings would better serve everything if they’re condensed into 8-12 minutes. Uber-productive people schedule shorter meetings that start on time and finish on time.
3.?????Leverage your resources. Who are your leaders? Mentors? There should always be something bigger, better, and brighter in your scope to achieve. Instead of answering questions for people, teach them how to find the answers. Encourage those to resolve and think big.

4.?????ROI is always on the brain. This comes in the form of time, energy, and relationships too. Not just the money. Is what you’re doing with your time adding value? Are you putting knowledge in your brain along with money in your pockets? What will the long term benefits be of what you choose to do with your day, the conversations you choose to have and the phone calls you make? Pay attention to how much time you invest that turns out to be a pointless void.
5.?????Avoid the daily time suckers! This can be social media and people. Silence your phone when needed. Time block everything. Do not allow people to suck the light out of your soul with negativity or repetitious bitching. If it’s not productive or improving your life, work, and goals, you need to eliminate it. Focus on results and mange your energy! This day is YOURS, own it.
