Stop Wasting Time On LinkedIn and Start Getting Results

Stop Wasting Time On LinkedIn and Start Getting Results

Are you spending hours every day on LinkedIn without seeing the payoff?

You’re not alone.

In conversations I’ve had with professionals this week, I heard something shocking.

Many of them were dedicating as much as three hours a day to LinkedIn, following advice from a LinkedIn coach who told them that’s what they should be doing - with ZERO new clients as a result.

Think about that...

3 hours a day...

15 hours a week...

60 hours a month...

All spent on a strategy that isn’t getting them predictable outcomes.

If that doesn’t make your stomach turn, it should!

This isn’t just a time investment — it’s wasted time.

And time, especially as a business professional, is one of your most valuable resources.

Spending it on a tactic that doesn’t yield results is madness.

But what if I told you that you don’t need to spend hours on LinkedIn to see real impact?

In fact, it only takes 30 minutes a day — if you know what you’re doing.

Here’s the truth: LinkedIn doesn’t have to be an overwhelming, time-consuming beast.

It’s all about working intentionally, not haphazardly.

The key is focusing on simple, effective strategies that deliver predictable outcomes.

Sounds great, right?

So, what should you be doing?

When you start using LinkedIn strategically, you can cut down your daily time investment to 30 minutes.

Yes, maybe at the very beginning, it will take 40 or 45 minutes to figure out what works, but it should never consume hours of your day.

Your focus should be on a few core things:

1. Who you’re reaching out to — You need to be crystal clear on your target audience. Who are the decision-makers, potential clients, or partners you want to engage with?

2. What your message is — Are you speaking to their pain points? Are you offering value in a way that stands out? Your content should be addressing the needs of your audience and positioning you as a solution without feeling like a sales pitch.

3. What kind of content works best — Whether it’s posts, articles, or direct outreach, experiment to find the content style that resonates with your audience and drives engagement.

4. Using tactics that drive sales — Your LinkedIn activity should always have a goal: generating leads, scheduling calls, or closing deals. If your actions on the platform aren’t contributing to this, it’s time to rethink your strategy.

Here's what I want for you:

Stop guessing.

Start knowing.

If LinkedIn has felt like an enigma that seems to work for everyone else but leaves you frustrated, you’re not alone.

The problem isn’t LinkedIn — it’s the strategy.

You need a personal brand and a LinkedIn strategy that gets you out of the time-wasting cycle and into one that actually works for you.
