Beware the Charlatan!
char.la.tan
noun: A Charlatan is a person who pretends or claims to have more knowledge or skill than he or she possesses.
Synonyms: Imposter, fake, fraud, phony.
I just spent 30 minutes speaking with a charlatan. How do I know? When I asked him to provide references, he said he couldn't. Not. One. Single. Solitary. Happy. Customer.
Want to know if a marketer is legit? Ask for references.
If you're told "We don't want to bombard our customers with enquiries" or "I don't share my clients," or other such nonsense, RUN AWAY!
I have a plethora of happy clients who are thrilled to share their positive experience of working with me, any of whom you are welcome to contact: https://connectworkthrive.com/recommendations/
They do so because:
- They know the caliber of professional with whom I work and
- They are eager to "pay it forward."
Additionally, these clients contact me when their firm is hiring, so we keep in regular contact.
If you're searching for professional assistance in any area: coaching, building a business, marketing, etc., stop wasting time listening to grandiose promises and immediately ask for references: satisfied customers who found value in the relationship. You'll save yourself a lot of time and weed out the charlatans.
