Webinars are dead. There, I said it.? You’ve used it in your marketing and lead generation efforts for a while, but the returns continue diminishing.? B2B marketing + sales (Revenue??) has changed - past tense.?
And webinars, they’ve been dead for a while now, but like a Zombie, you may not have realized it, and keep resurrecting it.?
It's a Halloween cliche, it’s fun, and we like to have fun here.
Webinars = Zombies? Think about it.
?? They died in late 2021, and yet we keep trying to resurrect them
?? You’ve rarely stayed in a webinar long enough for them to eat your brains entirely.
?? You have to spend 60 minutes!? Do we have to move so slowly?
?? And after a while, it just sounds like gahh ahhh rawww
Webinars aren’t holding people’s attention anymore like they used to.? Who has 60 minutes to give up - especially if we are just getting the same information that ChatGPT spits out in 6 seconds???
When was the last time you looked at how you put together a webinar?
Do any of these sound familiar??
?? You’re struggling with some lead gen… so you decide to do a webinar
?? You throw around a bunch of topic ideas and pick the one that doesn’t suck
?? Obsess about the name (and finally pick one)
?? Spam your audience list (and maybe the friend you recruited to do it with you)
?? Hope for a few signups.
?? Only 15 people sign up, so you hem and haw about doing it - you do it anyway
?? No one follows up on the registrants because they’re mostly your friends
?? And there’s almost no appreciable gain for the effort.
