First impressions last! and that applies to the world of recruitment just as much as anywhere else.

If you’re a recruiter, when presenting potential candidates to a client, simply sending over a resume and hoping for the best isn't enough. Being in the industry for almost half a decade, I always give my client a heads-up & a brief summary intro to the profile I’ll be sending to them. In this blog, I’ll take you through my unique approach to warm intro’s & help you explore the key reasons why such is crucial.

1. Build Trust and Rapport ??

Introductions go BEYOND a resume summary. I always showcase my client the invested time I spent with the candidate understanding their qualifications, skills, and personal fit. This builds trust and demonstrates my commitment to matching the client's specific needs.

2. Contextualize the Resume ??

Resumes can be dry, but a warm introduction can breathe life into the candidate's experience. I always highlight relevant achievements & transferable skills that align with the JD while addressing potential concerns like career gaps or industry changes. This transparency help me avoid unnecessary hurdles in the future.

3. Spark Interest and Excitement ??

This introduction needs to spark genuine interest about the candidate. Keeping that in mind, I share bits and pieces about the candidate's passion, unique skills, or innovative approaches. This creates a positive emotional connection to the candidate within the client.

4. Go Beyond Skills ??

While being focused on sharing candidate skills and technical stacks (versions used, duration of experience), remember that introducing personality matters too. Hence I make sure to share a glimpse into the candidate's personal life and motivations to help the client envision their cultural fit and overall potential.
