Stop searching for a great mentor. Instead….

Stop searching for a great mentor. Instead….

Dearest Darling Friends,?

I have experienced a few people who have progressed well without the active guidance of a great mentor.

I am yet to experience a single person who has progressed well without being a great disciple.

The presence of a ‘mentor’ does make life easy. But a mentor is not a pre-requisite to embrace a life of growth. Why?

The absence of a mentor can be bridged by efforts and patience by the seeker. But the absence of disciplehood is a guarantee for failure.

The world has laid over emphasis on the availability of the ‘right master’ without laying adequate emphasis on being the ‘right disciple’.

Focus on being the right disciple. In fact, be the best disciple the world has ever seen. Be such a disciple that if you were to get a disciple like yourself, you will feel blessed, special and privileged.

What makes a great disciple?

1. Great disciples exhibit speed in improving.

2. They have the ability to learn from one and all.

3. They are alert and focused on their goals.

4. They have their priorities right.

5. They have clarity about their objectives

6. They possess unshakeable dedication to their objectives.

7. They do make mistakes but do not make compromises.

8. They learn very fast not only from their mistakes but also from the mistakes of others.

9. Most importantly, great disciples have an awesome sense of humility.

10. They believe their success has contributions from many but their failures are because of some shortcoming in them.

Our responsibility is to be ‘the fantastic disciple’.

When we are a great disciple, then, this entire existence co-operates in teaching us what we need to learn. This I believe is the beauty of life.

You will learn not because you have a great master but because you are an exceptional disciple.

May your disciple hood be your greatest strength.

With love, prayers and best wishes,

naren

I've always believed in being a lifelong learner with a thirst for knowledge. This insightful message has made me understand the importance of being a great disciple and the power it holds over one's own growth. It's not just about finding the right mentor; it's about cultivating the right attitude as a disciple, which can truly transform one's journey and success. Thank you Narendra Goidani, Sir!
