Stop Saying That

Today I was listening to my 5th grade son, correcting his 7 year old cousin for saying "Well Actually". My son told him that saying "Well Actually" makes you sound like a liar and that anything before those two words wasn't honest.
Listening to him speak was a wakeup call for me in relationship to some bad habits I have. Most of us have eliminated "Well Honestly" from our vocabulary but what other phrases are we saying on a daily basis that make us sound less than honest or make people doubt what we have said. Think about it- Have you praised someone and then said" but______" today. By doing that we know we cancel out anything before the "but".
My goal is to try to eliminate the words "Well Actually" and "but”. Why don't you join me and try to eliminate at least one word that is damaging your credibility.
