Stop Press - Exciting news for the worms!

You have to read the following before getting to the exciting news!

It started here some 20 years ago! I converted a kitchen recycling bin into a small worm bin converting all my greenhouse waste into worm castings and vermicompost.

20 years later, it still works and every year adds amazing liquid fertiliser and growing medium back into the greenhouse!

20 years later, I'm still using decedents from those original worms. 200 then, now many hundreds of thousands to process several tonnes of various bio waste per year.

Anyway here is the Exciting News:-

As of next month the worms will be moving to a 500sqm new home with all the mod cons. Their new accommodation will host ample space for significant increase in tonnage of vermicomposting varying wastes, a breeding suite and nursery, a workshop for the auld worm wizard, a research and development area for trialling different feedstocks, and space for budding students and researchers. In addition they will have access to significant sized polytunnel for plant growing trials using their excrement.

On receiving the news Charlie McWiggle, Team Leader for Worm Work Party 3 said "This is fantastic new for us guys, us girls, I mean both as we are hermaphrodites, I know it gets confusing, that we are moving to bigger premises and bigger and better things. At last we are getting the recognition we deserve for recycling waste into great growing medium. Cant wait to get our teeth into, if we had any, more and more waste and helping you humans from extinction and feeding you at the same time. I'm sure Scott, our beloved keeper, would love to hear from and collaborate with any other human that will let us strut our stuff as after 300 million years of us being around it gets a bit boring us having to pick up the pieces of natural or man made disasters"

Well done Scott, on the subject matter, the black matter they produce and to you for making the most exciting posts about worms I have ever read.
