Stop Posting Noise: How to Create Content That Actually Delivers Results

Stop Posting Pointless Content: Nobody Has Time for That

Let’s get one thing straight: posting content for the sake of posting is a complete waste of everyone’s time.

You can’t just slap together a caption, hit “post,” and hope the algorithm will bless you. That’s not how this works. If your content doesn’t have a purpose, it’s just noise. And guess what? People are already drowning in noise.

Want your audience to actually pay attention? Well, you're in luck! I'll give you a super-simple filtering process to follow.

Before you post, ask yourself these four questions:

1?? What’s the goal?

Seriously, it's important that you ask yourself why are you even posting each piece of content. Is it to:

  • Build brand awareness?
  • Educate your audience?
  • Get someone to click, buy, or sign up?
  • Make them laugh, cry, get emotional, like you more, etc.

If you don’t know the answer, then neither will your audience. And that means your post is going to be dead on arrival.

2?? Who is it for?

Hint: “everyone” is not the right answer.

This morning I saw a piece of content that pointed out the mistake of being too-broad with target markets. Create content for ONE person. ONE persona.

If you’re not crystal clear on who you’re speaking to, your content will miss the mark.

  • Are you talking to small business owners who need quick, actionable advice?
  • Or maybe decision-makers who care about high-level strategy?

The clearer you are about your audience, the better your content will land.

3?? What’s the message?

What are you trying to say? And don’t overthink this.

  • Are you sharing a tip?
  • Are you answering a question?
  • Are you calling out a common mistake?

If your post tries to say everything, it says nothing. Stick to one idea, and make it impossible to ignore.

Bonus tip: Try multiple ways to communicate the same message. Single image, multi-image, long-form video, short-form video, etc. Start testing out different formats to see what resonates most with your audience.

4?? What action do you want them to take?

Every piece of content should guide your audience toward the next step.

  • Do you want them to comment, share, or save your post?
  • Are you asking them to click a link or download a resource?
  • Do you want them to schedule a call?

If you’re not prompting your audience to do something, you’re leaving opportunities on the table.

Your Content Problem Is Solved

Look, I get it. Posting consistently is hard, and the pressure to be “visible” can make it tempting to just throw something out there. But if you’re not taking a moment to think through your content, you’re wasting your time and your followers time.

Nobody’s got time for fluff. Plan your content with purpose, deliver value, and watch what happens. When you get intentional, people notice.

So before you hit “post,” ask yourself: What’s the goal here?

Because if you can’t answer that, your audience definitely won’t.

What’s your take? Are you creating content with purpose, or are you guilty of winging it? Let me know in the comments—I’m ready to hear your honest thoughts.
