Having a healthy mindset and maintaining positive mental health doesn’t always mean doing something. Sometimes it also means stopping certain things. Unknowingly, people in and around your life play a very important role in maintaining your mental well-being.?
While coping with trauma, grief, physical illness, financial issues, job expectations or even day-to-day stress or anxiety, it's important to stop being around people who drain your mind or don't bring out the best in you. So here are a few things you need to STOP -?
1. Being a people pleaser - You can't be there for everyone and everywhere all the time. Learn to say NO, draw boundaries and prioritize yourself and your time.?
2. Looking for validation from others - Don't let others control your life. It’s not what others think about you but what you think and feel about yourself that matters the most. You are unique and you are worthy of everything that's best.
3. Blaming yourself - You are not responsible for other people's negative actions or rude behavior. They may ignore you, say bad things to you, take you for granted, make fun of you, etc. It's just a reflection of their own issues.
4. Giving more chances - Some people will never change. Disconnect from them at the earliest and release yourself from toxic relationships/environments.?

5. Expecting from others- Not always will you receive the same or similar kind of attention, care, concern, importance, time, respect, love, etc. from others. So be alert and don't get hurt while emotionally connecting with people.?
6. Being around those who aren't happy for you - Not everyone will be happy with your personal, professional or financial progress and growth. Some may feel insecure, miserable or jealous. Get the vibe, trust your instincts and stay away from them.
So STOP being around people who don't care about you, don't respect you, don't believe in you, discourage you, ignore you, put you down, demean you and don't support you. Stay away from negative vibes and negative people.?
You are enough, you are worthy! STOP giving others the power to control your mind and how you feel.?
