Stop Making Excuses for Not Doing Video
Brands and individuals have been seeing success on YouTube for many years now. From way back in the day with Blendtec's, Will It Blend? (2007) breakout series that quadrupled their sales overnight (and turned them into a cultural icon), to Luxy Hair's YouTube channel (2010), that helped founders Mimi & Alex Ikonn build a seven-figure hair extension business, to the more recent success of How to Cake It (2015), a brand almost entirely built through YouTube and online community building. Yolanda Gampp's brand is growing like wildfire through her consistently engaging videos.
In the opening of this video, I rattle off a bunch of crazy stats, including the prediction that:
69% of internet traffic in 2017 will be video-based, and by 2020? It's predicted to be 82%. [ source]
If you are still ignoring content and especially video content, you will be scrambling to get noticed (again) in the years to come.
On the other hand, if you get over your excuses and start getting out there now, by the time that massive traffic is coming to video, you will be well-positioned to receive it. So, this week, my video is all about slaying those excuses. Whether you personally need the push or you could use my arguments to get sell-in into your organization, I think this will help move you over the threshold into focusing on video:

Truly Social is a web series that you can share with your boss or client when they're not really "getting" social. It's also the name of my company - where I work with clients on helping them develop their own web series.
I've been working on this social stuff for over 18 years and I've been a participant in the social web since 1992. My videos will come out every SUNDAY...with ~5 minute "lessons" on what are truly social practices (and what are NOT).

8 年yes..Video Marketing gets more important. Means get out of your comfort zone. I see many VA, small business owners who struggeld first and then get comfortable in a small group where they introduce themselves via fb live video..see - this is the first step. then study teachers..how do they talk, mimic, behaviour. Do some research and once this will go so easily ;-) Trust in yourself!
