STOP. Just STOP IT

Guiding Women Executives 45+ to Lead with Intuition and Confidence While Navigating High-Stakes Decisions—Using Intuitive Access to Create Immediate Connection and Transformative Insights l Keynote Speaker | She/her |
Stop trying to use your intuition. You’ll get too much information and then you have to DO SOMETHING with it.?
You’ll have to become more strategic, because the information you receive could be nuanced. Maybe you’ll have to think through several different courses of action, maybe even think a few steps ahead of what you are used to.
Intuition might provide insight into the past, perhaps revealing the origins of a situation. Or it could give you a view into one or more potential futures. You wouldn’t want that!
What if the insight you receive is so compelling that you have to speak up in a meeting? It would be embarrassing to stick your neck out and talk about something other than provable facts.?
Although you might be able to say something like, “Based on my experience, I’m thinking …,” or,? “My sense is that this situation could go one of two ways, and I’m leaning on the former…”
But nevermind. Because you could be wrong. And who knows what might happen if you were wrong?
Or what if you have to provide a stronger opinion than your boss is providing? Or step up in a conversation with your partner or your friend? Or, gulp, provide leadership in a situation where you are not the one with the title or the one who usually steps up?
So—. Forget it. Stop trying. Like Dorothy in a world suddenly gone full color, go back in the house. Even if that house has landed in a new world and both you and Dorothy are on the brink of being a different person than you were before.?
And even if your intuition isn’t being shushed with the same doubts that used to work. Every time. And your own vision of the world seems to provide more insight than it used to.
Of course, the other alternative is to learn how to recognize and use your intuition. You could:

You could do that.?
Or not.

2 周FRAN GALLAHER This is a fantastic point about the importance of developing and trusting intuition, especially in leadership roles.?I've found that consciously practicing mindfulness and reflective journaling can be incredibly helpful in discerning intuitive insights from just random thoughts.?It's not always easy to speak up, but learning to articulate those "gut feelings" effectively can be a game-changer. I'm curious, what specific prompts or techniques have you found most effective for initiating intuitive insights?

3 周I needed to read this right now, FRAN GALLAHER, so thank you very much. I am very curious about "learn which of your senses are bringing you intuitive insight so that you could discern intuition from regular thought." Can you tell me more about this? I love "living in the new world of color." I am going to use this when I am working through things. Sometimes, I have an intuition about something (usually work-related), and then fear joins the party and botches the whole thing up. I would rather live in the world of color and keep being a whole, more actualized, human- trusting my intuition and also having appropriate discernment. This is a great post!
