Are you Stopping you?
We all face some fears everyday. Maybe it's fear of failure, fear of inadequacy, fear of looking stupid, whatever it is, you will have to Conquer Fear Everyday!
- Focus your energy. You must use your energy to focus on your goals everyday. Do not allow yourself to be deterred through your own negative self-talk or anyone else's negative talk. Don't focus on what can happen in a year, focus on the next step, the next 24 hours in front of you and work to get one step closer to your goals.
- Mistakes are OK. Some of the greatest minds of our time have made 100's of mistakes, but they kept trying. They stayed focus on the positive and continued to conquer their fears everyday! You have to remember, it's not always about the results but how well you actually performed and the effort you gave that earns you the respect of your teammates, leaders and customers.
- No Excuses. We all have times when we could easily make excuses why things didn't go our way or our progress was less than what it should have been. Once we create these excuses we hold onto them and weave them into our story about why we aren't being successful or moving forward. We hold onto those false beliefs and we start to identify with them, letting the excuses be your way of life and never realizing your potential.
- Roadmap to Conquering Fear. The best way to conquer fear is to know exactly where you are, where you want to go, and what it is going to take to get there. Be honest with yourself, do you need to read more, meet the right people, learn more about your business? Whatever the fear is, it can be conquered by proper planning and being prepared.
The best way to conquer your fear is to have a vision of where you are going and create your roadmap to get there. When fear rears its ugly head, you will have nothing to fear because you are prepared, you have a no excuses attitude, and you understand mistakes are ok because they help you grow, they help you get better, and keep you focused on the goals and aspirations that can help you vanquish your fears!
