STOP HIDING BEHIND THE WORDS ‘IT’S JUST A PRANK’

A growing concern in today's society is the behavior of pranksters on the streets, where people can become unsuspecting victims of their pranks. The problem with pranks nowadays is that people no longer care about boundaries and personal space. This is worrying because these so-called "pranksters" feel that they have the right to insult someone just for a prank, without any regard for their feelings. And when their behavior causes a backlash from the target, they dismiss the target's reaction as "not having the same vibe."

For example, prank channels like Bro Prank TV deliberately insult people and then use their reactions for content. This is no longer funny, and it is unacceptable to justify insult, abuse, or any other kind of action that makes others feel mad, offended, or uneasy under the guise of a "prank." Another example is DeniseCee channel, which made a prank video where they intentionally stepped on someone's shoe, causing an altercation that resulted in them getting beaten.

Although these kinds of pranks have been happening for many years, the trend is still prevalent today, and pranksters seem to be not learning from their mistakes. Norms and boundaries that need to be respected are no longer considered, and pranksters need to understand that they cannot ignore someone's feelings when conducting a prank, and then blame the target when their reaction is against them.

Today, norms for those who seek "reactions" just for content are no longer respected. To get more views, some pranksters intentionally insult and violate social norms, which is not acceptable. Many pranksters need to understand that simply apologizing will not solve the problem.

In today's world of social media, viewers have become their gods. Some pranksters will do anything necessary to get likes or comments, even if it means making someone else feel degraded, insulted, offended, or uneasy. This kind of behavior is not okay and must be condemned.

It is time for pranksters to understand that their actions can have serious consequences. Insulting, abusing, or violating someone's personal space is not a prank, and it is not acceptable.

Instead, pranksters should consider how their actions affect others and be respectful of boundaries and social norms. Viewers should also be aware of the content they consume and support only those who promote positivity and kindness.
