What really matters, what we are remembered for, are the things that happened between those two dates.

When you have a conversation with a donor, ask what she did in the past, ask her about her life, her family, her activities, her hobbies.

? Is she involved in the community?

? Does she volunteer?

? Does she support other charities?

? Why does she support your cause?

By asking the right questions to your donors, you will find their values, and based on those values you will be able to craft an ask that will match what they wish to accomplish with their philanthropy. ??
