Stop Failing by Remaining Neutral

When trying to lose weight, we have a tendency to set ourselves goals that involve restriction and consistency. We want to go to the gym four times a week, but if we only go three times, we make that mean we’ve failed – despite working out three times that week. That’s absurd when you really think about it.
What if we made our choices around exercise and our expectations of ourselves more neutral? What if you refrain from labeling a day off as a cheat day? What if there was no on the wagon or off the wagon? What if there was nothing to fall off of at all?
What You’ll Learn From this Episode:
- How we unconsciously categorize foods without fully considering it.
- Why food is neutral.
- How to give yourself the power to decide what you really want and need.
- Why neutrality helps you get to the consistency you’ve always dreamed of.
- What happens to our mindset when we label food as bad.
- How to see the emotional impact of having a food “bad-list.”
Adding the emotional sting of labels to our behavior with the words we use around food is causing unnecessary harm. Join me on the podcast this week as we look at some strategies to creating a more neutral standpoint around your efforts towards health and wellness, and not kicking yourself while you’re down.
