Stop Failing by Remaining Neutral

When trying to lose weight, we have a tendency to set ourselves goals that involve restriction and consistency. We want to go to the gym four times a week, but if we only go three times, we make that mean we’ve failed – despite working out three times that week. That’s absurd when you really think about it.

What if we made our choices around exercise and our expectations of ourselves more neutral? What if you refrain from labeling a day off as a cheat day? What if there was no on the wagon or off the wagon? What if there was nothing to fall off of at all?
