Stop expecting an Aha Moment

Stop expecting an Aha Moment

The internet has let us down. Sure, this isn't the first time. As I sit here reading "Good to Great" by Jim Collins, the words scream off the page.

Companies that went from Good to Great did so due to momentum. Not an 'aha' moment that transformed these companies.

Cue every internet entrepreneur up in arms.?

"Just follow your passion and the aha moment will come."

The fact of the matter is, these moments of clarity come from building momentum, just like riding a bike. You don't get from 0 to 30 kmph instantly. It requires effort and momentum.

In Good to Great, Collins claims that 80% of the executives from "great companies" couldn't pinpoint an aha moment. That's not to say that there weren't moments of clarity. There was no single point that changed the future of a company. It all came from momentum.?

Momentum can and should be applied to everything we do.?
