Stop Doubting Your Greatness!

Stop Doubting Your Greatness!

If you've read any of Jen Sincero's books, the phrase "you are a badass" will be familiar to you. And if you haven't read any of her works that will be the first thing that draws your eye when you see this one.

"Get out of your head and take action. You don't have to know exactly where it's going to take you, you just need to start with one thing that feels right and keep following right-feeling things and see where they lead.”

As soon as you read the title of the book, "You are a badass: how to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life," you will immediately feel a lift in your spirit. And just by looking at the book's title, the reader has a good idea of what the book will be about and what they should expect from it.

The imaginative chapter names entice the reader to speed through the book. Who, by the way, wouldn't desire to drastically better their situation in life?

Each chapter begins with an intriguing quote that serves as a teaser for the information to follow. The author's description of the referenced individual, on the other hand, is significantly more intriguing and will have you putting down the book for a few minutes to look them up on Google.

Jen Sincero rants at you in the opening part of the book, listing some of the reasons why you may be hesitant to develop yourself, and some of them will sound familiar. She expresses her discontent with life by drawing on her own life experiences. She can, however, identify some of her readers' feelings of confusion and aimlessness.

The author has a wealth of humorous anecdotes to tell. She doesn't shy away from telling her readers about the importance of being present in the moment, which is nothing revolutionary.?Yet there's something in the way she expresses it that makes you long for the present more than you do the past.

She writes in a conversational tone, as if she's speaking with an old friend. Jen Sincero does not mince words and gets right to the point. She helps the reader anticipate challenges they may encounter when embracing the here-and-now.

“If you’re serious about changing y

our life, you’ll find a way. If you’re not, you’ll find an excuse.”

"Stop giving tired old excuses," the author says, meaning that she is bored of you and your explanations for everything. As a result, she offers actionable recommendations on how to better yourself. Rather than being critical, the author gives kind suggestions for improvement.

If you also happen to carry a small dose of the crazy gene, you will probably identify with Jen Sincero and discover a lot of yourself in her antics. She's hilarious and real, and if you don't find her endearing you can safely ignore her joking around and focus on the book's many other merits.

You may wish to skip through the advice you don't find useful and focus on the portions that are more significant to you, but she makes care to remind readers to love themselves at the end of each chapter in case they've forgotten. The author's close relationship with her creator shines through despite her occasional use of vulgar language.

“We only get to be in our bodies for a limited time, why not celebrate the journey instead of merely riding it out until it’s over?”

Jen Sincero promotes time-tested techniques for personal growth including meditation, gratitude, and forgiveness, but her writing style gives them a new spin.

Finally, the book's funniest and, for some readers, most crucial chapter is the one about your relationship with money. Money and your attitude about it are brought to the forefront. She gives some strange or even intriguing financial advice, but you'll come to value her guidance anyway.

“Because so often when we say we’re unqualified for something, what we’re really saying is that we’re too scared to try it, not that we can’t do it.”

While it is possible to jump in at any chapter, understanding the origins of your issue will require reading the book in its entirety.

The author is gracious enough to present her readers with a list of other works that have had a big impact on her own life towards the end of the book.

After you read this book, you will most likely look for more works by Jen Sincero to add to your collection!
