Your Facebook or Instagram has the ability to be your sphere-based CRM.
Those two platforms should be full of people that already know, like, and trust you!
Here are five things you can start doing today!
#1 - Stop Waiting To Feel It!
Social Media isn’t going anywhere. If anything, it’s only becoming more and more valuable since belly to belly meetings aren’t happening like they used to. If you’re waiting to “like” social media, you’re going to be waiting for a long time! It’s time to take action!
#2 - Be Present Every Day!
You don’t know when your friends are going to need what you sell. By the numbers…if there are seven days in a week and you don’t know which day they might need you…do you really want to risk it by trying to pick the right ones? No. This is why you have to show up daily.
#3 - Get Personal In The DM’s!
If you’re in a typical sales role, you need to get one-on-one with people to make things happen. This is the power of the DM’s on social media. Don’t post on their wall, don’t just comment on their posts, leverage their DM’s to create more intentional relationship opportunities. I would also use DM’s to follow up with leads and meet new people.
#4 - Give To Get!
Engagement is the name of the game on social media. Everywhere I speak I get asked how to increase it…but it doesn’t work the way they are hoping it does. To get engagement, you have to give engagement. I recommend using the 10x10x10x strategy that I learned from @chelseapeitz. Spend 10 minutes, reply to 10 stories, and comment on 10 posts. If you do this daily, your engagement will increase day after day.
#5 - Be Intentional With Value!
Hear this right now…STOP SELLING on social media! Your friends and sphere aren’t idiots. It’s so easy to spot a fake. It’s obvious when you’re trying to fake value on social media. So be authentic. Be yourself. Know what your audience needs and offer that as value to them. This is the only way to get social media to work in your favor.
