STOP doing THIS on Instagram

How is your Instagram growth going?

If there is a chance you feel like it could be better, then you will want to read the below 9 things you should NOT do on Instagram.

Whether you're just starting out on social media or an Instagram veteran, use the checklist below to ensure your account is set up for linear growth from here on out!

1) Do not post videos with TikTok watermarks

Content with other social media app logos or watermarks will be less discoverable.

Expert advice: Screen record your TikTok content in the draughts stage to repurpose it to Instagram without the watermark. Even though you can use websites like Snaptik to remove the watermark after the TikTok is posted, it significantly reduces the quality!

2) Do not post Reels created on Instagram without first saving a copy to your computer or phone.

Keep a high-quality, watermark-free copy in case you need to repurpose the content later

3) Do not reinstall the Instagram app without first saving your drafts.

Make sure to save your drafts on a separate device and never keep them on your Instagram only as they would disappear if you have a bug or are switching phones!!

Drafts are stored on the app like cookies, and if you delete the Instagram App, your drafts will be deleted as well, so don't waste your time!

4) Don't just concentrate on reels.

Yes, reels are the best way to grow, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider other options.

Stories and in-feed picture posts are critical components of being present for your audience!

5) Avoid posting and ghosting.

Stay around after you've posted something new to interact with DMs and comments.

The engagement that occurs immediately after you post is the most important for the Instagram algorithm.

6) Remember to include captions in your videos!

Did you know that many Instagram users browse the app without turning on their speakers?

Don't forget to add captions to your stories and reels to increase engagement!

7) Avoid including unnecessary information in your bio.

Potential followers are curious about the type of content they can expect from your account.

Statistics such as the year you graduated will not entice them to click the follow button.

8) Don't put too much emphasis on creating the illusion of a perfect life.

Your audience values honesty above all else, so be yourself!

You can do this in your Instagram stories, Reels, captions, or lives! Just make sure your feed is still sending a clear message to people about what you're doing.
