Stop denying the world of your unique gifts
by Dani Trudeau
We all have something special. Honestly, each of us has something unique to offer the world. What is yours and are you denying it to the world? It might be a skill or it might be sharing your story. If you still need to identify your special gifts, try these questions out;
- How did you love to spend your time as a child? What did you enjoy doing the most?
- What are you passionate about as an adult? What lights you up and gets you totally motivated? What kinds of things do you enjoy geeking out on? When you lose track of time, what are you doing?
- What is important to you about life? When you think about the different areas of life (e.g., health, career, family, relationship, personal development, spirituality/religion, fun), make a list of all the things that are important to you in each of these categories.
Over the years at Tribe, I have discovered a secret; most of us feel like everyone else has things figured out a bit more than we do. There are obviously varying degrees of knowing your unique gifts, but generally, it is an ever changing, developing offering. We are all learning and no one has everything figured out. It is worth checking in with yourself and make sure you are not living your plan B, where you've stopped deciding your own goals.
Lastly, your unique offering can be anything and is everything you share—your friendly smile, your generous heart, your sharp intellect, or the way you help connect people, it all matters beyond you. When you think big, show up bold and share your uniqueness, you become a role model for all of us.

5 年Nice one Danielle 1. Building sandcastles on the beach 2. Making connections and solving problems 3. Will take some thought... Family and friendships always but am I going about it the right way and making the best use of my skills? Am I living the best life I can? Its Good to re-focus sometimes. Two days holiday left.. I hope I have an answer when I step back into the world with renewed energy.
This is awesome! Thanks for writing this one today. Really got me thinking and wanting to dig deep Danielle ...appreciate you easing my mind down that path

5 年Nice questions! 1 - taking things apart and putting then back together in a new configuration. 2 - helping people see life and work differently, challenging constructs, learning.? 3 - health more so now than ever, mostly becasue I want to be here as long as possible, honesty, integrity, helping people, not taking life too seriously but also marvelling at how amazing it is. Providing a safe loving place for people to grow. Trying to observe my own flaws and improve and not get frustrated with others.?
Nice writing prompts.
