Stop

Only God can stop my heart from beating. What do I mean when I say this? I am saying that we all are under the watchful eye of God and his control.

We as living, breathing incarnate Spirits we're meant to live our lives to the fullest as all creatures in this universe. We are here to learn, love and teach each other what we know and have learned from our experience in this world. We are to offer our talents and faculties to each other for the common good.

When God decides our life is to end, meaning, it has served its place in the overall plan he has set for us, He will stop our heart. Each heart is connected directly to God. At some point in our life, we may undergo serious surgery where it is necessary for doctors to stop the heart momentarily to facilitate some procedure. However, only God will set the time and moment life will end. When people die in accidents, war, victims of a murder or other circumstances, God alone decrees our heart to stop and allows such circumstance to bring this to be because it is the moment we are to return to him.

In 1995, God stopped my heart to teach me a valuable lesson. He taught me how far I had drifted from the course he had set for me. He showed me his love for me and all of us. He showed me his hurt and sorrow I have caused him. He showed me his humility in offering me a glimpse of his genius. Humble is a God who would share what he has with the likes of me! One would think that such an experience would completely change a man to be saintly upon return to life. This is not the case in my experience. Since my return I succumb to old habits and weaknesses now and then. However, what has changed is that I am more aware of my flaws and shortcomings and am able to work on them consciously more and more each day. I have a strong sense that God is helping me in this effort and has blessed me with a measure of time to work on myself to give my best effort in that quest.

We are all God’s children and how merciful and generous God is to all of us especially yours truly! I know now that only God can stop my heart and will when he will’s it to be, it will be!
