Machines work with buttons—on, off, pause—but humans don’t function like that. We are emotional beings, not programmed systems.

Yet, many of us treat ourselves like machines, switching off emotions when inconvenient, suppressing sadness, or forcing happiness. But emotions are not obstacles; they are our essence. Feeling sad? Here are five ways to live like a human, not a machine, and break free from the ‘being busy’ trap:

4. Connect with People, Not Just Screens

Machines interact with programs, but humans thrive on relationships. Make time for deep, real conversations with family, friends, and colleagues. Listen, share, and be present in human connections.

5. Live in the Moment

Machines function based on commands, but life isn’t a to-do list. Enjoy the small moments—sip your coffee mindfully, watch a sunset, laugh wholeheartedly. Life is not just about achieving; it’s about experiencing.
