Is it lazy to be busy?
We all seem happy to be busy. We feel occupied; we feel important; we claim we do not have time to do things or think anything. Our pride or ego serves us well with the busyness we usually have. Is this "busywork" really serving us in terms of productivity or success?
How about looking at the lists of the work you want to do before you do? Can you ask yourself which of the tasks will create more impact or bring more success and which will not? Then you can put a mark beside the priority tasks and give those tasks your most focused, creative, committed attention.
You need to take some time for looking at your task lists. You may slow down a bit and connect the tasks and people you mark as priority for your success. It will never be waste of your time.
Most busyness comes from our ongoing attempts to please others. Notice this is not to serve others - rather to please others and win their ongoing approval. This kind of superficial and egocentric "busywork" is an enemy to your success.
Pleasing others is the real reason why people don't succeed. In the end pleasing others doesn't also win any respect from any corner. You need to hold your boundaries and work with focus for the tasks you think is important for your success.
What do you have to say on this? Can you stop being busy from the first day of 2025?
Growth, Modernization, Agile way of work.
