Stop being boring.
I've said it once this week, so I'm running with it.
What's happening in the app?
We've just launched version 1.47 of the app after some more bugs! Honestly, they never end. Every time you build something it breaks something else.
The newsfeed was stopping after about 20 products and then loading the next 20 but shooting you back to the top - so annoying. So, that's now fixed. In fact we released 1.46 to fix that and then somehow the sign up process broke. It kept adding the first character you type into the email field, again, so the email address was invalid. Quickly got a fix out for that by the following morning though.

What have we been up to?
Last Wednesday I filmed 4 episodes of the Through the Eye podcast with: Jamie Ashpole , Tony Ryan MIET FRSA , Jon Hill & Daniel Bull - at my house! Much more relaxed sat on my sofa.
MTC Events hosted their National Manufacturing Summit on the 27th and I got to see my logo on the big screen as an official media partner ?? Shot a few short form interviews and shared a dinner with my Enginuity friends > Fiona M. , Tabby Hanlon-Scott , Poppy Bramford , Rob Stott , Samantha Ashman & Make UK 's Chris Corkan .
Had a great meeting with Andrew Newbery to end last week, after his newly found fame on our "What do you do for a living" videos! Looking forward to supporting SIGMATEK Automation expand their reach in UK&I...
This week Newcastle College started rolling the app out to their 300 engineering students! Next up is University College Birmingham to their 400 engineering students!
It's felt like momentum has been picking up for a few months now but I had a hit of dopamine when I saw this: 100+ active app users on the app in the same 30 minute window!! Crazy to think 6 months ago we'd be lucky to get 5.
6 Engineering classes and 3 Business classes on Monday at Loughborough College - thanks to Ria Foster for the invite. I took Andy Miller from YASKAWA UK & Ireland with me for the morning sessions, to talk about where and why we use robots in manufacturing and the types of careers that are out there. It always grabs their attention when I explain there's 60K open jobs and there's never been a better time to earn high salaries as an engineer. "5-10 years experience why can't you earn 100K per year?"
In the afternoon I told 3 business classes to ignore hustle porn on Instagram because running a business is HARD! There's no such thing as an overnight success.
Caught up with Chris Rooum from MTC Training yesterday to flesh out what our partnership is going to look like and how we can disrupt the training space in UK manufacturing. Big plans coming, including a single calendar to see available seats and book multi-vendors courses with a single purchase order...

Need proof that video works? I posted this video on my newsfeed 36 hours ago, and generated roughly 100K of sales opportunities. Including a message from a 2nd connection asking to look at their social content because he thinks it's boring and would like to do something different.

I've never done this before lol. But, I saw an association offer to put a logo and 70 characters in their newsletter that had 6000 subscribers for ￡475+VAT! Seems a rip off to me but if I can get some pocket money from spewing my thoughts into this every week, then why not...
So - 3.5K subscribers, 1300-1700 reads per week for ￡150+VAT. No idea if that's a good deal or not lol.
