Stop the babel: Let me build your brand and business.
Introducing your friendly neighbourhood writer: Me.

Stop the babel: Let me build your brand and business.

In a world full of endless choices, fast moving images, short attention spans and cliché messaging, it’s hard for brands to be heard. In a sea of competitors, it can difficult to depict what makes you unique in a concise way that grabs people’s attention. If your on- and/or off-line communications are falling flat, it’s probably because you haven’t allocated the proper resources to making them awesome – that’s where I come in.

I’m here to amplify what you want to say, so your business stops getting lost in the white noise of 2018. I’ve dedicated much of my life to writing in ways that make people laugh, cry and, most importantly for you, make purchases and become evangelists of the brands I work with.

Who do I think I am?

Writing about yourself is pretty much the worst thing ever (less that one Nicki Minaj-inspired haircut I got in 2013). But, when you're the kid who sits down midfield and flips open a book at the pinnacle of your soccer game, you realize pretty quickly you need to fine tune abilities that don’t require coordination, athleticism or the smell of teen spirit. For this and many other reasons, I became a writer. And, let me tell you, the glove definitely fits.

Not only did I receive my English degree, but I’ve backed that bad boy up with a Public Relations diploma and years of digital marketing, corporate and non-profit communications experience. Before and after my "day jobs," you can also find me penning blogs for various clients, enhancing resumes and even penning speeches for special events (flashback to your eccentric uncle's shockingly moving declaration at your cousin's wedding). The moral of this not-so-humble brag is I can write for any audience across any media you’re looking to improve. Whether you need a new business proposal, website, blog or breakup letter, I am the person who will take your ideas and make them sound (nothing short of) amazing.

Beyond the black and white of my resume, I genuinely care - not only about grammar and making words come alive, but I take great pleasure in listening to people and doing justice to their unique stories. I would never put my name on something I wasn’t proud of, and I would never conduct myself in a way that didn’t prioritize integrity, transparency and the best interests of my clients.

Equally as important, I want you to enjoy working with me. While, at first my affinity for cheesy puns might have you rolling your eyes, I will be someone you can count on to be honest with you and contribute significant value to people’s perceptions of your brand. That means, sometimes we may have tough conversations, but I welcome the opportunity to soften these with the golden Bulleit.

Why should you trust me with your voice? Besides the fact I promise not to lock it in a shell necklace. (Yikes, did that reference just date me?)

I know it’s hard to relinquish even the slightest bit of control over your vision. You’ve put blood, sweat and tears into your business. Now, some wild-haired writer is trying to walk in and transform the way you speak to your target markets. But, I have no plans of taking your communications in a direction you don’t truly believe in. I am a linguistic chameleon: I will inhabit your brand and say exactly what you want to say, how you want to say it.

If you are looking for writing support from someone who will take your work as seriously as she does fixing grammar on billboards (to the horror of my travel companions), get ready for exceptional Shakespearean-level linguistic service - delivered with a smile (and by that I mean, unyielding sarcasm and a questionable sense of humour).

I look forward to writing some really great stuff that will help achieve your personal and professional goals. Shoot me an email at [email protected] and let’s get to work.
