Stonehaven FinTech Platform Infrastructure Built For Collaboration -> 2020 Growth

2020 hasn't been an easy year, but Stonehaven is very proud of our growth YTD. While we definitely didn't anticipate the Coronavirus, our platform's value drivers are more important than ever in the current environment.

Infrastructure

  • Capital raisers need to move fast in today’s environment, and we’re uniquely able to run in today’s environment at full speed with a dedicated 12 person management, operations and technology team supporting our platform. We have senior management dedicated to each core area of our firm's infrastructure.

Sourcing Mandates

  • Many mandates from the pre-crisis era are not viable, and new opportunities have emerged from the crisis. Hence, capital raisers need to pivot their focus.
  • It’s difficult to source new mandates right now because everything is moving so fast and you can’t meet people in person. As a result, mandates are primarily being sourced through pre-existing relationships. 
  • Our efficient (but thorough) due diligence and legal onboarding process has enabled us to onboard 17 new mandates YTD (more than one every other week).
  • In this environment, cross-marketing becomes even more important to help leverage all the relationships across our 55+ Affiliate Partner community to source, win and execute on these mandates. One group might be able to source a few good opportunities, but they can collaborate with 33 other groups to potentially work on other mandates sourced on the platform. 
  • Our 32 new cross-marketing arrangements YTD demonstrate the increased level of collaboration. 

Technology - Nexus

  • Nexus enables our Affiliate Partners to run their businesses more efficiently remotely.
  • Nexus removes the informational friction of collaboration.

Strategic Advisory

  • Affiliate Partners are leveraging Stonehaven to help build and manage every aspect of their businesses leveraging our insights from our wide swath of activity. The difficulty of the environment has made our help even more important.
  • We’re helping our Affiliate Partners structure and re-structure agreements.
  • We’re helping our Affiliate Partners project revenues with new sets of assumptions.
  • We’re helping our Affiliate Partners source new investment opportunities.
  • We’re helping our Affiliate Partners find new talent to join their organizations.  

We see continued synergies in growing our platform that create a positive flywheel effect. Great infrastructure and the opportunity for collaboration enable us to attract some of the most talented capital raisers. These great capital raisers win high quality mandates. We re-invest our money back into our infrastructure. This in turn attracts the next round of Affiliate Partners that are attracted to a combination of even better infrastructure and larger opportunities for collaboration with more Affiliate Partners and mandates.
