Stock Car Driver Mariah Boudrieau To Compete In Las Vegas ARCA Menards Series Race

Mariah Boudrieau is one of only a few women competing in the ARCA Menards Series and she hopes to hit the Jack Pot in Las Vegas this Friday.

Colorado Springs, CO., 10/11/2023 — Mariah Boudrieau, a twenty two year-old stock car racer (and University of Colorado student) from Colorado Springs, Colorado will be competing in the upcoming Star Nursery 150, a NASCAR ARCA Menards Series West race, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, October 13th. She will be driving for car owner Joe Nava and the Performance P-1 Motorsports race team out of Irwindale, California. She may be the only woman competing this weekend in this competitive upper tier racing series.

Mariah started racing quarter midgets when she was 11 years old. After winning a fair number of races and a few championships she started moving up the ladder into other asphalt racing divisions at her home track of Colorado National Speedway. She now competes regularly in the Late Model Series but has had her focus on the ARCA Menards Series. In 2021 she made her debut in the ARCA Menards Series, competing in three races for Joe Nava and his driver development program at Performance P-1 Motorsports. She had three solid performances in her limited time with the team and has made it her goal to race full time in ARCA.

Performance P-1 Motorsports has competed in NASCAR and ARCA since the 1970s. Their late model program runs at Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, California and has had a list of recognizable drivers involved in their program including Greg Pursley, Steve Portenga, Butch Gilliland, Andrew Myers, Vince G, Ron Esau, Steve Vaughn, Greg Sacks, Ray Elder, Zane Smith and Nick Joanides. Even Colorado’s Rick Carelli, the “High Plains Drifter”, competed for Joe Nava. In addition, the PP1M team has been involved with NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program and have had drivers such as Mariah Boudrieau, Michelle Theriault, Jose Luis Ramirez, Alec Martinez, Michelle Abbate and Takuma Koga drive their cars.

Mariah said, “This opportunity came together at the last minute. Joe Nava called me and offered me the chance to drive their car this weekend and I’ve been scrambling to put everything together to be ready. We’ve worked together in the past and have had success. The Bullring [at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway] is my favorite track that I have raced on and I’m super excited to be going back! I have to thank my sponsors All Phase Construction of Colorado Springs ( Dana Boudrieau), Rex MD, Jan’s Towing and the Wallace Sign Company. I also have to thank my family - Mom Heidi Johnson and Dad Dana Boudrieau, fiancé Ethan Gillett, Johnny Berardi and Sandy and Dorothy Kramer. I also want to thank the Performance P-1 Motorsports crew and owner Joe Nava.”

The Star Nursery 150 race is at the 3/8th mile paved oval known as the Bullring, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The race is this Friday, October 13th, starting at 7:10 p.m. PST / 10:10 p.m. EST and will be broadcast livestream by FloRacing (www.floracing.com), on radio/audio at www.arcaracing.com or CNBC (Delayed: Oct. 28, 10 a.m. ET).
