Stitching it altogether: Circular economy through supply chains

Stitching it altogether: Circular economy through supply chains

The ripple effect of emissions through supply chains is huge. What your business buys, who and where from, matters. There’s huge potential for partnerships between clients and suppliers to champion circular thinking at every inch along a supply chain, and nudge for positive change across the whole ESG spectrum.?

In practice, this could mean less need for raw materials, more reuse of materials already in circulation, and less greenhouse gas emissions pumped out to make new ‘stuff’.? There’s so much to gain and so little to lose, it’s a no brainer.?

So whilst leaders are meeting at COP27 to talk about how to keep a lid on temperature rises, businesses can catalyse positive change on the ground by joining the dots in supply chains to reduce waste and emissions and help nudge a whole ecosystem shift.??

Here’s some of our thinking and plans to nudge to the brief.?

A case in point: the Circular Economy in production ?

Putting this lens on production there’s huge wins on the table. Years of single-use products and processes have led to a challenging culture of waste. Throwaway carbon, both embodied in materials and emitted through all the things that wrap around events – transport, energy, even the coffees on offer – has been the norm for a long time.??

Image of a quote from the article saying "Stitch is on a mission to challenge the benchmark for what sustainable production looks like"?

Stitch is on a mission to change this. To challenge the benchmark for what sustainable production looks like, and move from one-time, one-use ideas to circular thinking. Coming up with solutions that reduce waste and carbon for exhibition stands, meetings, film services (and more); measuring, evidencing and reporting the impact along the way. ?

But we can’t do it alone. We’re partnering with equally ambitious suppliers and clients to help feed positive change up and down the supply chain, stitching together impact that works for businesses and the planet. ?

This is only the start, there’s always more to learn, more to adapt and more carbon that can be taken out of the production supply chain. We’re in it for that whole ecosystem shift, are you??
