No Lycra required ! What’s more it can be done whilst waiting for that kettle to boil! Whats not to like!!
Why does this particular movement help the brain??Cross Lateral Movement?fires neural pathways across he hemispheres of the brain , so right to left side . New pathways mean betterbrain health .?In the #menopause one of the most common symptoms is #brainfog?, therefore anything that we can do to stimulate new neural pathways is highly beneficial.
Also this type of movement calms the mind, increases core strength, encourages whole brain thinking (firing on both sides and improves spatial awareness ( less likely to clumsily knock onto things whilst trying to do something - that’s not just me that does that is it?)
So what is a cross lateral movement ? anything where the opposite arm and leg work together or come to touch across the central midline of your body

So whilst that kettle boils stand on one leg bring the other knee up and touch it with the opposite hand. or take up boxing or pingpong - all great for cross lateral movement. How are you going to tackle brainfog today?
