There Are Still Ways to Get Golden Visas as Backlash Mounts

Spain is the latest European country to announce the end of its golden visa program.

The visas, which typically allow foreign investors to establish residency and eventually obtain citizenship by purchasing real estate, became popular in the pandemic when foreigners — especially Americans — took advantage of remote work to relocate to Europe.

The influx of foreign capital to real estate has drawn criticism from politicians who blame these visas for soaring housing prices. European Union lawmakers have also denounced the programs for allowing money laundering and unfair access to EU passports. A range of countries have declared the end of their golden visa programs, including Portugal, Ireland.

Despite these announcements, there are still ways to obtain similar visas, and make smart real estate investments abroad while obtaining citizenship, wealth advisers say. Read their best advice.?

I heard that more and more people like to buy houses and settle in Thailand or Vietnam. Because the environment there is better and the consumption is cheaper.
