Some Unicorns Might Be Overvalued, But All Dinosaurs Gonna Die!

The link above is to a article by Dave McClure, and it was originally posted in startups.co
I have just made a link to it, "stolen" the picture and made my comments to it below. Enjoy!
Hmmm! I wonder how the construction industry will come out of this? I don′t think they have reached the stone age and met any dinosaurs yet. They are all "so different from our competitor", "why should we change something that is working" they keep on saying... Well, they always complain about "to little time", and are margins of 3% actually good? How many discrepancies or delays will that margin withstand? Why not try something new? Start using a tool you already have with you to get control. It has HSEQ forms, floor plans, checklists, to do lists, time sheets, image archive, graphic overview on all tasks, a GPS, a phonebook, etc.
But it′s still not a time thief, it will actually give you more time to do the important (and fun) stuff...
WHY are people still collecting everything in a ring binder, printing big A0 paper drawings, making 20-30 daily phone calls to delegate tasks and to check if tasks already delegated are done. If they are, then they drive to check if it′s accepted. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Still wonder why studies show possibilities to get 30-50% increase in productivity in the construction industry? It does not concern you? You are not in that industry? Well we all live in the products they make, shop in the stores they build, and buy services from the enterprises renting the huge glass, steel and marble buildings they make.
IF these buildings were made 30-50% cheaper, do you think it it could affect you? I do!
Let′s get rid of the waste an take back the control in the construction industry now!
I will not write the name of a product that can help you, or put the link to it here in the article. Why? Because I know thet is you care, you will make a little effort and find it... And those are the customers we want.
The job is not done until it′s checkd...
