STIHL East Africa Supports Sustainable Mechanisation in Lukaya, Uganda

STIHL East Africa, represented by Managing Director Francois Marais and Sales Manager? John Wachira, recently participated in the launch of a significant Mechanisation Programme in Lukaya, Uganda. This initiative is poised to equip local farmers with sustainable mechanisation solutions, with the potential to transform agricultural productivity and practices in the region significantly.

The event was an opportunity to showcase the latest in agricultural machinery and a platform for STIHL East Africa to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable farming practices. Notably, the Honourable Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, Uganda's Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, had the opportunity to try out the STIHL MH710, a leading example of STIHL's innovative technology designed to meet the rigorous demands of agricultural work.

Following the programme's launch, the STIHL East Africa team engaged in meaningful discussions with key figures, including Minister Ssempijja and Prince Eng. Edward Kimbuggwe. These meetings emphasised the critical role of mechanisation in agricultural development and explored the avenues for public-private partnerships to foster sector growth.

By participating in the Mechanisation Programme and demonstrating the capabilities of the STIHL MH710, STIHL East Africa is actively contributing to the modernisation of agriculture in Uganda. This involvement underscores the company's dedication to supporting the farming community and aligns with broader objectives of enhancing food security, reducing labour intensity, and promoting environmental sustainability.
