The truth about what it takes to be succesful...
This week, the one piece of content that had the biggest impact on me was?this post?by Daniel Priestly.
In the post, Daniel talks about a group of people who are trying to convince everyone that you can become highly productive by working a lot less & how working long hours is the worst thing you could ever do etc...
Although I'm an advocate for work-life balance, this post totally hit home. No one achieved anything significant without sacrifice. I've noticed a number of very successful people, who clearly worked very hard & sacrificed a lot, banging the 'you shouldn't work too hard' drum.
There are a lot of home truths in Daniel's post & it's well worth a look.

Thought for the day:?Inspiration is everywhere...
It’s funny how you can get inspiration from anywhere & everywhere.
This week I was?in a random gym in Cornwall whilst on holiday. I saw some?signage (pictured below) in the gym & instantly thought that we should have more signage reinforcing our values & motivating our team in our office.
So I messaged Lloyd. It’s weird how motivating a stupid sign on the wall can be.
Another way I like to come up with ideas is when I'm driving.
I don't listen to anything & spend the time in silence thinking about things.
It works so well.
Happy Friday!! ??

2 年I’m a huge fan of Daniel Priestley! I’m also a huge fan that your dreams should not cost your health, relationships etc.?? It took me years to understand the grinding it out, was me getting my own way. I’ve never known a entrepreneur that wasn’t willing to work hard. I think we just have to redefine where does “hard” begin and end. ?? When my client stop working in Insane hours-They are shocked about how enjoyable the work is and how much their business is growing. Clearly there are strategies put in place to leverage all this.
