Sticky Karma and Everything Else
Wherever in cosmology we start, we always come back to everything, everywhere, all-at-once.

With karma, what you put out into the world propagates within the spherical space boundary of our whole physical universe, which encloses a humongous bag of emptiness. As what you put out propagates it necessarily has interactions and has relations with other objects that occupy the emptiness of space. If what you put out is physical, say you hit someone in the face, that event certainly activates the four natural forces (electromagnetism, strong nuclear, weak nuclear and gravity). If what you put out is immaterial, say an expression of love or an idea abstraction, they are not governed by the four natural forces; they are governed by a fifth natural force = lifeforce (not acknowledged by physicists).
?
Because the space boundary = physical limit at the surface edge of our whole physical universe is spherical, eventually everything propagating will return to its source; think moving around a circle or a M?bius loop. The universe is an unimaginably vast space, so it could take a really long time for what you put out to get back to you; hence the common assumption in Buddhism that karma connects past and future lives. I will not discuss that Buddhist metaphysical abstraction assumption in this post, rather I will focus on the state condition in which karma returns to you in your current lifetime incarnation, because that simply boils down to real time interactions and relations including the four natural forces, and the relations of immaterial consciousness, that most of us are at least somewhat familiar and comfortable with.

The stickiness of karma is sticky like Velcro, in the sense that Velcro only sticks to Velcro. In that same way, whatever you put out comes back to you in some recognizable form, for instance the person you hit in the face hits back. It quickly gets much more complicated than that, for instance hitting someone in the face is not only that physical action, it is also violence, and violence can take more forms than I could iterate in a lifetime of iteration, and the same is true of hate as well as kindness and love. Clearly physical acts are category-distinct from affective emotions and cognitive abstractions, but those details can be ignored in this post. In any case karma is always category distinct, for instance only sticky with something like itself, and I note that like is another term for category. However, category-distinct karma may be, it seems common that a person is not even aware of the fact something they put out has returned to them. That is particularly true if the round trip takes a really long time.
?
That complexity need not concern you all that much, for instance it can be quite simple (not necessarily easy) to choose to be a good person, for instance to consistently act from a set of guiding values, say kindness, generosity, peaceful non-violence, honesty, integrity, courage, etc. Then you do not have to keep wondering about, anticipating, looking for or protecting yourself from something nasty, afflicting you at some unexpected moment. Fear is a really bad state condition for human beings and other animals. One of the most pernicious things about fear is how much it can dominate your attention, and it is now well known that you get more of what you pay attention to even if you really truly want less of it, say fear. So, pay attention to what you pay attention to because you are going to get more of; good, bad and ugly.

It is necessary that what you put out comes into interactions and relations with other objects, because there is dualism within monism, and monism means that one thing is a holon = unity of wholes within wholes. To imagine what interactions and relations might look like as dualism within monism, think physical scattering. Physical scattering means, any physical object necessarily comes into contact with other physical objects, and when that occurs, the objects can deflect away from each other, they can break up or disintegrate into smaller bits, they can pass through each other, or one can absorb the other, and these outcomes occur in degrees. Immaterial objects, say an expression of love or hate, or a cognitive idea abstraction, scatters much the same way, but deflect, break apart, pass through and be absorbed obviously have very different properties and meanings than with physical objects. This is not the place to provide all the details to explain those differences; just use your imagination to figure it out.
?
An important point is that whatever you put out and whatever interactions and relations that might or might not occur, what you put out does not stop until it eventually does return to you, and in fact, it does not even stop then, rather you necessarily integrate that back into yourself, and then you put something else out. For instance, imagine a dense web of invisible M?bius loops existing everywhere within the space boundary, so that regardless where your physical body is exactly located, and no matter if you are moving or still, whatever you put out, will follow one of those loops and jump from one to another, until it returns to your conscious physical self. It is intuitively obvious = certain, that yourself and whatever you put out, will not be the same when what you put out finds its way back to you.
?
There is no way, even in principle, to know when, where or in what form karma will return home to revisit you. Furthermore, you will rarely even be aware that something you sent out has returned to you, because karma, like anything else immaterial, is category-identity-condition invisible, and furthermore there can be a seriously long time-delay. The simplest strategy is to acknowledge that what comes back to you will be like what you put out. Grokking this truth is almost certain to be a motivational boost for you to take responsibility for your actions.

Contrary to what physicists commonly assume, it is not information that is conserved, in fact information quite normally is lost, which means permanently unrecoverable. Furthermore, information is regularly created and is regularly destroyed. Some information always exists, but not exactly the same information that ever existed. Existence is conserved. Existence is perpetual, because it is now, always for the very first time, never a repeat, never a past existence, and never a future existence, only exactly some holon wholeness-totality existence now. Existence now is conserved by tautology, for instance X = X exactly, only and always. On the other hand, forms change constantly, which is why information is ceaselessly destroyed and created. For instance, when a paper is burned and the ashes scattered the organized information that the paper and the symbols upon it actually were, is irretrievably lost. It is understood that both perpetual and ceaseless continue until they stop, and they will certainly stop when our whole physical universe ends. It is certain that our whole physical universe is finite not infinite; ephemeral not eternal.

Beyond the whole physical universe, outside of = external to = extrinsic to, the space boundary bag of emptiness, is eternal. There is only one eternal, that which exists without beginning, and that which is the source of everything that exists with beginning. In the same way past time ceases to exist (only the record continues to exist now), when something that exists with beginning ceases to exist, it is no longer something, it no longer refers to anything that actually does exist. There literally is no past time.

Karma has nothing to do with sin, punishment or reward. Rather, it is the immaterial equivalent of Newton’s law of motion, that every action has a reaction; with karma every action has consequences however long the time delay might be. Karma has nothing to do with right or wrong behaviors, and nothing to do with morality, ethics, or values. Naturally if you act from love, something like love will make its way back to you (like Velcro only sticks to Velcro), but love is not what karma is, any more than apples in a basket are what the basket is. Karma does not care what you put out, rather karma treats everything you put out as equal to everything else you put out. The same way the number 5 does not care if it refers to 5 apples or 5 cows.
?
Of course, sin could be what you put out (however you define sin) and punishment could be what comes back to you (say you murder someone and then you go to the electric chair), and that would be an instance of karma operating, but sin and punishment are not what karma is.

It becomes clear that interactions and relations cannot be what everything is, contrary to what physicists claim (say Rovelli). Rather, any-thing is exactly, only and always its category identity conditions and the constituents it is made from if it is complex. Interactions and relations are behaviors of any-thing, not identity conditions of that thing. However, it would also be incorrect to state that any object was not its interactions or relations. This is clearly an instance in which we must defer to not, not logic. With not, not logic, think not only. For instance, any object is not its interactions and relations, but not, not its interactions and relations. In fact, while it is having interactions and relations it is not, not those interactions and relations, but clearly, any object is not interactions and relations that it is not having.
?
You cannot rationally claim an object that is possible or potential already actually exists. All you can say is there is a probability an object could have some interactions or relations and begin to actually exist. This is the consensus interpretation of particle physics, that quantum elementary mass units do not actually physically exist with knowable properties, say location and momentum, until after they are observed, but before they are observed, we cannot say they actually physically exist at all.

All immaterial and physical objects exist with some kind = category of simultaneity. Temporal simultaneous is at the same time. Spatial simultaneous is at the same time and at the same location. All objects that actually do exist, exist exactly now, and exactly at some real clock time (but now is not the time; time is not what now is). Spatial simultaneous is always temporal simultaneous, but obviously temporal simultaneous is not always spatial simultaneous. Penultimately simultaneous means occupies some limited set of Euclidean empty zero points plus same time and same location (which means literally inside each other). Ultimate simultaneous means occupies the total set of Euclidean empty zero points plus same time and same location (which means literally inside each other) everywhere all-at-once.

Plato’s Forms (upper case = essence of any-thing as a possibility or potential to exist) are conserved inside the immaterial meta-information matrix inside near-existence domain. Neither the immaterial meta-information matrix (= set of blueprints for everything that could potentially exist (= possible to exist), nor the near-existence domain (host for the meta-information matrix and now) are acknowledged by physicists (they also commonly deny now exists), and it is necessary that both are ultimately simultaneous with the actual existence domain which hosts everything physical or immaterial that actually does exist now. In other words, those objects each occupy the total set of Euclidean empty zero points, therefore literally exist inside each other everywhere all-at-once.
?
On the other hand, Plato’s forms (lower case = actually does exist) come and go = ephemeral with short life spans (not eternal, not substantial, not the original source of anything else). No forms are conserved. No specific ordered information is conserved. For example, physical apples are not conserved, but the essence = the Form apple is conserved inside the meta-information matrix inside near-existence domain. Conserved Forms permit existence to be perpetual everywhere all-at-once, because Forms entail forms, and forms instantiate Forms, until the whole physical universe ends. Nothing in this post is eternal, nothing in this post exists without beginning. Only eternal exists without beginning; eternal causes = is the original source of everything that does exist with beginning. Eternal is substance.
