Steps to Making Meaningful Change

For you and your team to be successful, you have to adapt to changes faster than anyone else in this disruptive world we live in.

  • Firstly you need to be aware that you need a change. It can come through any of the situations in real life.
  • Secondly, you need a motivation to make that change. It can come through the awareness that you are incompetent to your peers, or just the fact that you are not sleeping as much as it is required for your body.
  • Third would be deliberate practice! so the challenge can be to keep learning more every day or making sure you sleep as many hours as required by making sure you go to bed on time and be disciplined about it. This is the hardest step. It is the repetition of any new behavior that leads you to embed it over time in a way that it becomes your habit and hence will be automatic in your life
  • Forth is getting feedback. Imagine you do make a practice to do something everyday and you made it a habit to do it. Unless you get a feedback on it, you won't know if you were doing it the right way it should be done. If its a wrong way, only feedback's can help you change/correct it. Make sure you get consistent feedback!
  • Fifth and final step is measurement. Unless you know how to measure and what to measure and don't have a path with a clear goal at the end, the likelihood is we'll go off the trail.
