Steps To Getting The Gold

Along the path that we call life, there are so many different trails we can take. A couple of them will take you to the life you want to have. Others take you to a place you don’t want to go.

Which leads me to the question of what is it that you want?

Because if you wanted something badly enough, you would do whatever it takes to get there. You’d do everything in your power to obtain what it is that you are looking for.

Yet, so many people do not get the life that they want. Why is that?

Because that want in their mind is just a nice thought. A whimsical idea that they aren’t serious about. Their big dreams are just that to them, dreams.

Serious people work towards their dreams. Take action towards the goals that they set. They move with a pace and certainty about them.

Whatever it is that you want in life, if you work hard towards that goal, you’ll start to live a fulfilling life. I can’t tell you whether you’re going to actually get your goals.

Gold medal winners have a better day than their competition. Their years of training. Years of work towards a single goal come down to one day. One moment. One fraction of a second.

The hard work paid off for the victor, while second place is just that. First loser.

It wasn’t their day. They didn’t get the win. Now, you could say that everything was for not.

I see it both as that and that they were able to discover a lot about themselves that had they not taken the journey they would never see what they were able to achieve.

At the same time, what practice did they miss? What workout did they not give 100%? Where in training were they off, just a hair?

Because when it was all on the line, these little pieces made the difference between winning and losing. It’s not much. It’s fractions of inches.

In the business world, there are multiple winners. Businesses doing well in multiple areas. The question to ask yourself is what do you want out of it?

Like sports, there is only 1 largest in a category. Unlike sports, everyone can achieve what winning looks like for them. Because maybe you can’t dedicate the time necessary in business because you also want to win at home.

Maybe for you winning looks completely different. This is akin to what success is for you. It is different for everyone. The questions you must ask yourself are: What does success look like for me? And What do I need to do in order to achieve success?

Answering these questions, will start you down the path to your goals and dreams. Don’t let anyone take you off the path of your choice, because it is just that. Your choice.
