Stepping into Spring well and staying well - Part 2

Stepping into Spring well and staying well - Part 2

In addition to my previous article, I also wanted to include the below list of additional supplements that I find extremely useful as I am discovering there still seems to be a high volume of coughs, colds and viruses lingering around this year.

The following will help you boost your natural immunity, most of these I get from Epigenetics-International as they are certified pesticide-free and come free from excipients, binders and fillers, all of which can compromise the effectiveness of a supplement.

Many of my preferred choices are now liposomal formulas as they are much more easily absorbed, so much so they can be effectively rubbed into the skin if taking by mouth is not suitable.

  • Liposomal Vitamin D3 - something we stop making between the end of September and the end of March, due to the low angle of the sun in the UK. This is not only a great immune booster, it is also been shown to be cancer-protective.
  • Liposomal Zinc - another great all-around immune booster and general body biochemistry enabler.
  • Liposomal Vitamin C - something we are all aware of is the benefits of vitamin C, which is chronically short in most of our fruit and veg due to their long storage time. Research done in the past 15 years has shown that some supermarket oranges, for example, have 0/zero/nada/nothing vitamin C by the time they reach the shelf.
  • Colloidal Silver- for any of you who know me, I make my own, but easy to buy and super useful as an all-purpose antimicrobial, silver has been used for millennia to help kill bacteria and viruses, so much so that many dressings are now impregnated with it to help reduce infection. They now even do a handy pen-sized version that can be refilled, great for planes and public spaces where you just want a shot of this great cold and virus killer.
  • Smart Iodides and Iodine can be great for helping to make hyperiodide in your body, part of your own immune system, best for the red thyroidal types.
  • I also highly recommend a few essential herbs to be used for infections, all of the above nutrients can be safely used by almost anyone, the herbs have some restrictions when pregnant or breastfeeding. Black Walnut, which is a great source of bromides and chlorides for making the hyperbromide and hyperchloride that your body uses for its own immune system. I also use Olive Leaf and Oregano which are great for viruses and bacteria respectively.
  • My favourite anti-flu herb by far is Black Elderberry extract, something you can make yourself quite easily with fresh berries at the beginning of September. But the commercial preparation of this Sambucol, is incredibly effective. Research has shown that it is effective against all forms of flu that it was tested against.

Between them, that should make sure that even if you somehow manage to get infected with a virus, the response to that will be short-lived 24hrs - 4 days. Anything beyond that and you need some more specialist testing to identify what is causing the issue and what to counteract it with. Something that you can do by booking in to see me, then I can easily help your body identify the issues and find a solution for it.

Any questions or comments, please let me know, otherwise stay well and robust and get ready to enjoy the lighter, bright days which will soon be here ????
