Is this London's snappiest dresser?

As polls closed this evening across the UK, I was reminded of this pic I took in June last year, still reeling from the news that my countrymen had chosen Brexit over membership of the EU. Strolling across Westminster Bridge in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament, this Scotsman's confident, if slightly hipster take on Highland style seemed strangely in keeping with the Alice-through-the-looking-glass quality of the weeks that followed...the shock of Brexit, the resignation of Cameron, the implosion of Boris Johnson as would-be Prime Minister. As one pundit put it at the time: "If Boris was the answer, what on earth was the question?" 

Fast forward a year and all that now seems lost in the mists of time. As Brits have faced a snap election and an outcome that for many is unpalatable whichever way it falls, I'm still left wondering, who is this chap on the bridge, what is his business as he strides so purposefully towards Westminster, and (given he might just have parachuted in from north of the border) what on earth is that precious cargo slung nonchalantly across his back? A wee dram of the water of life? An oversized packed lunch? A secret secession plan from the First Minister? It's a question that lingers and if anyone in my "six degrees of separation" Linkedin network can shed light on one of Scotland's finest, I'd be happy to post an update!
