Stepping Back

Doesn’t time fly when you are busy. Its now 2 years since we sold our family business Rock Power Connections Ltd to Mitie and over 12 years since Rock was created with my late brother in law Reece James and my other brother in law Matt Crampton

While it's been great fun and very rewarding, it was very challenging after the tragic loss of Reece 3 years ago. Doing this on a part time basis, given the huge growth we have achieved and the massive potential, was never going to be sustainable. As a result, I have decided to step back from being the MD of Rock and day to day business operations. I will continue to support Mitie and Rock part time, assisting the Mitie Projects Board's decarbonisation strategy in an advisory capacity in strategic growth, acquisitions, integrations and supporting our green skills people plans.

I would also like to thank the Board and Senior team at Mitie for their continued support, they have been brilliant ever since the sale.

I am thrilled that Richard Chavasse from the Rock leadership team has taken over and he is already proving to be a huge success.

Rock remains at its heart a family business and now has 15 family connections among the 150 employees. It’s the people that made Rock the business it is, and I will continue to watch them develop and grow, and hopefully continue to contribute to our incredible success story. The leadership team that takes it forward retains the family values we created all those years ago, and knowing them all as friends and colleagues I know they will continue to maintain and build on what we all created. As Reece would say 'Keep Rocking'
