A Step towards Clean Household Cooking

NUETECH INNOVATIVE SOLAR STOVE

ONGC has embarked on an ambitious project on innovation towards making an “Efficient Electric Chulha (Stove)”, in order to live up to the clarion call given by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi to touch lives far and wide. ONGC launched a nationwide campaign to seek innovative solutions for the development of Solar Chulha.

ONGC is working towards finding an efficient household cooking solution to ensure last-mile delivery of clean energy. NUETECH TEAM will contribute in this project

NUETECH SOLAR Teams with BMS College won AWARD in ONGC's Solar Chulha Challenge . I am very happy to inform that my team has won award in ONGC Solar Chulha Challenge. The challenge was hosted online & over 1500 entries were received. Based on the abstract submitted by the participants, after 2 rounds of screening 20 teams were shortlisted by an expert panel chaired by Dr. Anil Kakodkar, former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission that advised participants to proceed with the development of the prototype. Further, these 20 participants were invited to present their initial model, based on which 6 teams were shortlisted for final round. These 6 teams were invited to New Delhi to demonstrate live cooking on their solar chulhas. The teams demonstrated cooking twice: once during the day and after the sunset to the expert committee members & ONGC officials. After thorough evaluation on parameters like technology used, readiness of solutions, ability to cook all types of Indian cuisine, adaptability in kitchen, time required for cooking, etc. the team from NUETECH was awarded 2nd prize by Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
