Step Off...
The article this week is short. For a reason.
I want to show you -- by example -- what it means to "step off."
And.
Notice what you can / will gain by trying this today.
Hint: You'll be able to do less and become even more productive (the promise of this little weekly newsletter).
Play along.
Step off.
The Problem:?I am overwhelmed
This week, imagine you and I at a pet store.
The same one as last week, except this week the hamsters stepped off the hamster wheel. The wheel is slowing down. It's almost stopped.
The hamster is now doing whatever a hamster does in its' busy hamster life. Imagine what that is for a second.
There might be a metaphor in there for you. You are welcome (smile).
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "Still feeling overwhelmed."
Step Off.
The Actionable Tip: Step Off

1 年After the initial uneasiness I feel when stepping off the hamster wheel (because I should be doing something), I feel peaceful. And I feel even better when I am able to help someone else step off (as you helped me to do here, Michael Vizdos). Slowing down - if even a brief minute of mindful meditation - always helps me to ground myself and find focus.
