Its been close to last 5 years , STeP-IN Forum via its 6 chapters is contributing on multiple fronts and arranging Seminars, evening talks and full length summits , conferences . These are the opportunities where testers not only gain knowledge but dispense their expertise and challenge themselves . Test automation contests arranged by STeP-IN have been very popular and brought ahead top talent in IT industry!
Our blogging team was prompt enough to cover most of these events and put it in front of the world , in the form of LinkedIn posts.. Yes , we believed LinkedIN could make us reach to most of the IT enthusiasts.
We at STeP-IN believe that Blogging is such a form of expression which helps you get deep into the domain and improve your confidence in technology, presence and growth ( professional and personal ) .
With this view and to bring out that stint in you , we have planned a "Blogging Contest"

Objective of the Competition:
- Promote Knowledge Sharing
- Help IT Professionals to start writing professional blogs
- Identify and reward the writing skills of IT Professionals
Theme & Subjects:
- Theme – Quality Engineering, Quality Control & Quality Assurance
- Subjects – The participants can choose any of the following subject
Category wise subjects
Technology
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Automation
- Performance Engineering
Software Engineering
- Agile
- DevOps
- Behavior Driven Development
Evaluation:
All submitted BLOGs shall be evaluated based on
- Title of the topic
- Originality and freshness of the content
- Usefulness to the Information Technology community
- Relevance to Software Testing
Competition Benefits:
All submitted BLOGs shall be evaluated based on
- All blog submissions will get a e–certificate of participation
- One Top blog will win a cash prize of Rs. 11,000/–. In case the winning blog has two or more authors the prize money will have to be shared among the authors.
- All authors may get a chance to be our speakers for our Evening Talks
- All authors may get a chance to be our speakers for future STeP–IN conferences
- Top 10 blogs will be published on the STeP-IN website
- All bloggers may get a chance to be in STeP-IN Blogging committee and become head bloggers for upcoming events
BLOG Submission:
- Format – PDF or MS Word Document
- Main guidelines about the blogs are
- Font: Arial
- Font Size: 11
- Font Color: Black with headings in Bold.
- Include images where appropriate. (Attach the images in jpg/png format when sending with the article)
General Guidelines:
- An individual can submit one or more blogs.
- One blogs can have multiple authors across organizations.
- The blog should not be more than 600 words.
- The Jury will be appointed by STeP-IN to review submissions and the selection of final blogs.
Dos and Don’ts for the Author(s):
- Please don’t submit a blog that is published anywhere else.
- Please beware of the Copyrights. Do not copy or plagiarize any content.
- Images/screenshots used from the internet should have the appropriate references else will be disqualified for copyright violation.
- Please do give due credit to any other online or offline content which you have referred in your blog.
- STeP–IN does not take away the rights of the contents – All the rights will belong to the author.
- If your blog is published on STeP-IN website, you can republish the content on any other website as long as you have a clear cross reference to the published STeP-IN website URL.
- The decision of Jury will be final and abiding to you.
