YouTube being the second largest search engine and the largest when it comes to video searching. The platform has become one of a must-have app in many many smartphones.

People have started exploring YouTube like crazy. As being a platform that pay's it's user's YouTube has gained a lot of eyeballs in some last year's. People started creating their own channels varying from laughter to value form good to bad, any kind of video is uploaded by their user's for the sake of monetization.

Here comes the real question, how do you GROW your channel?

You might have created your channel, you might be the best at what you are doing but because of the highly intelligent algorithm of YouTube, it's hard to get rank and start getting organic users.

Here are the steps to help you get started on YouTube and grow it to the next level.

1. Define Your Channel: Well you know you want your channel, now all you need is your niche. The channel should be very specific rather than going for "jewelry" go for "gold jewelry".
2. Define Your Goals: When creating your channel the only thing matters is what you want from it. Is it only to earn a side income (which I will never suggest) or is it providing some useful information to the audience or simply entertainment?
3. Develop The Plan: After you have done the above two the only thing remaining is your plan. How you want to get the channel to stand out. You have to plan minor things like video calendar (which videos to post, when to make them & when to upload).
4. Video Production: All set with the plan, now it's time to rock n roll. You are going to be a star. Na nope..control your feelings. After the plan come's the execution. How do you want to do it? do you need equipment to start (try to get free things first or rent..don't buy) or you would hire someone to take that "zoom in & out" shot for you?
5. Optimise: Yes, even if you are not a digital marketer you need to optimise every video you create (It's not cheating, we simply want some eyeballs). Start from the title (put high searchable keywords in it) then describe the video in the description (put keywords here too, but please don't stuff it. Try to tell a story). The last thing you need to do is create a custom thumbnail for your video, which would be catchy and can define your video's content.
6. Deep Dive: A factor that is still unknown to a lot of YouTuber is the "Watch Time". Don't panic...it's simple the longer the people stay and watch the better your video will rank. Now how will you get this when you are just starting up. This is a "make or break deal" for ranking, so listen carefully.

YouTube tries to learn from the audience that if the video is useful to them or not. If your audience is watching more than 50% of your video every time. It will alert YouTube that it has a content which people would like to see. This is how they (I mean YouTube) will start suggesting your channel to others and can even feature you on trending.

Now the important discussion will be how to make people stay on your video. There are serval thing you can do.

1. Click Bait: I know we are not doing "black hat" here... STOP SHOUTING ON ME...GOD. This is a grey hat technique which if only is used every time can create an issue for you.

You might have heard of video's saying "what happened at the end will shock you" or people saying in the video "wait till the end for a free giveaway for you". This is how you can make them stay longer or even you can try something new (make your lazy & crazy brain to some good work).

2. Clickable TOC: Before you kill me saying what the hell is "TOC". It's "Table Of Content"

This is what I am talking about, try to put clickable video line's. Now, why should you do that?

Well, many time your video content can be as long as F*** and people watching that video only needs to know a single part of it. They might not be interested in the whole video. So having clickable time links in description or comments will help them get there fast and also "IT WILL HELP YOU TO GET DEEP DIVE WATCH TIME". So it's a "WIN-WIN" for everyone.

Now all you need to do is create a video in stages where you can make/create clickable time links.

7. Attract Your Audience: Everything is set (nice, pat yourself on your back) and it's time to get people on your video. How to do that? do you want me to answer everything...go find yourself.

Just kidding...here are 3 tricks that can get you good views

1. Social: Yes, you heard it. Now all you need to do is share it in group's that has people of your niche (please oh please don't start spamming any group, posting links on every damn post you see.)
2. Be Geeky: Not too much. Well try to use tools like DrumUp, Viral Content Bee (ssshhh...it's my secret), KWsearcher and last is the best TubeBuddy.
3. It's Family Time: Yes, you have to go OUTSIDE in the real world (BEWARE: Inside Good..Outside Bad) ok jokes apart but yes getting free video views and subscriber starts form your family and friend (yes, this mean you have to be nice to your siblings).
