Step Back in Time With Historical Musical Performance at East Riddlesden Hall

Join performer Henry Bard in the Airedale Barn this March

Join York based historical musician Henry Bard in the Airedale Barn for an evening of historical English songs and broadside ballads from the 16th and 17th century, the same period that many of the buildings on the National Trust site are from.

Henry performs authentic songs on a lute while sharing the stories and details behind their inspiration.

Henry himself was inspired during a visit to East Riddlesden Hall as a child during a civil war re-enactment. During his visit he heard a harpsicord being played for the first time. ?

Henry said “The music just resonated with me, really, it’s the early music that inspired me to become a musician” ?

Henry will be performing in the Airedale Barn on 5 March, 7pm – 8pm. Tickets are ￡5 per person, tickets are bookable
