Step 1: How Do I Get What I Want ?

Welcome to Step 1 of this 21 step course.

So the first step is remembering to ask for what you want. Giving yourself permission to ask for what you want and then.... letting your imagination fly.

Go beyond your wildest dreams. Do not restrict yourself with limited dreams. Think of what you would dearly love to create. Ask yourself gently and sincerely: what is your heart’s desire – really?

Write a list. What would you include if you knew you were guaranteed to succeed? Don’t censor yourself. Beware of an inner voice which, for a bit of drama we'll call the saboteur. Beware of the saboteur wanting to scupper your dreams before you have even started.

When we ask for what we want, we often ask for what we think we can have or what we think is achievable, rather than what we truly want. Be prepared to shift your point of view. To train your mind to think differently. To train your mind away from critical, negative, judgmental points of view, away from habitual and fearful thinking.

Instead, look at what is possible, look at what ignites your flame and what makes you feel proud of yourself, something that enriches your life and makes you smile. Connect with your heart's desire.
